Genie was born to an African family in Nigeria, Benin City Edo State in 1996. As a little boy Genie had always love music and dancing . He spent most of his early days in school as an entertainer and always ready to learn something new as far as music is concerned. The love for music grew from day to day leading Genie to begin recording sessions in studios. With the help of friends and other key music talents the direction of Genies style was shaped up to what it is today, a rythmical and complex afro pop singing.

My earlier music project was a song written for the youth and kids across the world. The project also touched on issues related to the lifestyle of men and women expressing love to all mothers. In the song the lyrics encourages those who have their mother’s alive to take good care of them. I believe no one would want to live without their mum, she’s forever a back bone. It has been a joy to write such a song and the world will enjoy this song forever.

Growing up Genie had inspiration from movies like Get rich or die trying by 50 cents and artists like Chris Brown, Micheal Jackson, Bruno mars,John legend, Asa, Falz, Olamide, wizkid, David’s, Psquare
and other. Genie Mullah’s background as a religious gentleman got him picking up music influence from church choirs and folk music singers in his community. As a person Genie has a creative interest developed through instinct. He has a touch that makes his music sound unique. Still in a state of development he hopes to reach the world with this gift of singing.

Genie Mullah grew up around music and when he began schooling it was all about taking first lessons in music. His passion firstly begun with drumming with sticks and pens.

Back in Junior Secondary School in Nigeria I continued to develop my talent and confidence by booking for studio time to record demos. Life back then was not easy and sometimes it was far impossible to find a good producer to punch that right beat in.

Genie used to gather kids around and rap to them about what he rehearsed for days or sometimes weeks. “I always knew one day I was going to make it.” Genie said.

“My goal is to travel around the world with my songs. I have a vision to use music as a tool to touch lives and inform the world about love and peace. My goal sums up to make my family and fans proud with my creative style of music production and performance. One thing that completes my mission in the music industry is to use the proceeds from my royalties to help the less fortunate in Africa, especially kids. This inspiration comes from what great international artist like Akon are doing by lighting Africa.

Nothing but real creative music delivery is what will always be served at the table for every GENIE fan. Most inspirations come from the tons of followers who listen to my music because they put me to the task of digging out the best concept and lyrics that will satisfy them.

Fans must expect tight collaborations form top music artists in West Africa and beyond. The game just got started and people all over the world will really be entertained by the line up of performances to come.”
